ST. LOUIS, MO (Heartland news at 9) - St. Louis Police investigated a reported suspicious package at a business downtown.

In a tweet, police said the Bomb and Arson Unit was responding to a building on the 1000 block of Market St.

Officials closed Market St. from 10th St. to 11th to investigate.

St. Louis television station KSDK, located on Market St., tweeted their studio had received a suspicious package.

The building was evacuated as the St. Louis Fire Department investigated.

Shortly before 11 a.m., the Bomb and Arson Unit determined that the package did not contain any explosive devices, but Market St. remained closed to traffic.

Approximately 25 minutes later, St. Louis Police tweeted that nothing hazardous was discovered and gave an “all clear".

The blocked streets were reopened after the investigation.

Members of the St. Louis County Police Department Bomb and Arson Task Force and St. Lois Fire Department Hazardous materials Task Force responded to the incident.
