MALDEN, MO (Heartland News at 9) - The city-wide cleanup in Malden is scheduled for May 20-22.

The City reminds residential residents to put your stuff out on the curb for pickup. It will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. They ask that you separate your items into like-item groups.

Acceptable items include:

  • Appliances
  • Furniture
  • Mattresses
  • Toys
  • Exercise equipment
  • Water heaters
  • Lawn mowers
  • Batteries
  • Brush
  • Lumber up to 4-feet
  • Electronics
  • Tires - Tire tags must be purchased at City Hall prior to scheduled pickup. $5 per each passenger tire, not to exceed 22-inches and $7 per each light duty truck tire, not to exceed 22-inches

Unacceptable items include:

  • Construction materials
  • Paint
  • Chemicals
  • Automobile parts
  • Lumber over 4-feet
  • Concrete blocks
  • Gas tanks
  • No household garbage
  • Tires will not be picked up if tag has not been purchased

According to the City, elderly and disabled people can call for assistance in getting items to the curb for pickup.
