MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (Heartland News at 9) - A crash involving three semi trucks and a passenger vehicle blocked a portion of Interstate 24 in Marshall County, Kentucky.

Officials said the crash happened at 12:53 a.m. at the 21 mile marker.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Department officials said at the time of the collision storms were rolling through the area with strong crosswinds.

The first semi lost control and rolled over as a result of weather and the vehicle blocked both east bound lanes.

Deputy Strader was the investigating officer on scene according to officials.

Several vehicles caught in traffic at the site attempted to cross the median to turn around and became stuck, blocking westbound lanes according to officials.
