BARDWELL, KY (Heartland News at 9) - An investigation is underway after equipment valued at $2,200 was taken from a building owned by the City of Bardwell, Kentucky.
According to the sheriff’s office, chain saws, nail guns, lineman’s tools, and electrical wiring was taken at the building at 100 block of Front Street on Jan. 7.
The investigation led the Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office to McCracken County to a recycling center.
A search warrant was executed on Jan. 9 at a residence on Front St. in Bardwell.
A number of items were recovered, including the nail gun, at the residence in connection to the burglary.
Evidence showed stolen electrical wire had also been in the residence, according to investigators.
Suspected methamphetamine items, marijuana and other drug items were found.
Two men who were in the home at the time are not believed to be involved in the investigation right now.
The owner of the home, Jewell “Outlaw” Wiley, 57, and another resident, Jordan Jonesm 30, are persons of interest in the investigation, and the sheriff’s office would like to talk to them about it.
