PERRY COUNTY, MO (Heartland News at 9) -

Perry County, Missouri Sheriff's deputies are actively searching for a man who took off running from a traffic stop.

According to the Perry County Sheriff's Office, a white man took off running in the area of 6593 S. Highway 61 to avoid being stopped by deputies.

This incident happened around 1:19 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9.

The man was last seen wearing a black hoodie and khaki pants, no shirt.

Jordan Lee Mahathath, 24, is described as 5', 130 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Call police if you have seen the wanted man.
