JOPPA, IL (Heartland News at 9) - The Massac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating four burglary reports from Joppa, Illinois.

The thefts were reported on Wednesday, Jan. 9 from residences in the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of Joppa N. Ave. and the 200 block of Joppa Rd.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, items were taken from two vehicles, someone rummaged through a garage looking for items to take, and items were taken from a yard.

It’s believed these thefts happened sometime around midnight on Wednesday.

Deputies report finding evidence at some of these crime scenes, including video surveillance video.

The Massac County Sheriff’s Office released a still frame of the surveillance video and say it shows a truck that was burglarized.

Those living in Joppa are asked to keep their vehicles locked and to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity.
