(WLUK) -- You won't have to spend hours in the woods to get your venison fix this fall.
Arby's says it will offer venison sandwiches at every restaurant starting Oct. 21. The sandwiches will be available while supplies last.
Last year, the company tried a limited release of sandwiches at selected locations, including one in Superior. Those restaurants sold out of the sandwiches within hours, Arby's says.
“The positive response to our limited offering of venison last year was so widespread and passionate that we knew we had to find a way to offer it nationwide,” Jim Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer of Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc., said in a news release.
The sandwich is made up of a thick-cut venison steak, crispy onions and a juniper berry sauce on a toasted specialty roll. The venison is marinated in garlic, salt and pepper.
Meanwhile, Arby's is also offering an elk steak sandwich at three restaurants in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana, also beginning Oct. 21.
