GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WGFL) – Thankfully, nothing else was connected to the shoe.

Anuket, a 10.5-foot Nile crocodile and resident of the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, swallowed a zipliner's shoe in December.

Bystanders watched as Anuket spit the shoe up before eating it again.

Attempts to flush the shoe out were unsuccessful. Next up, vets tried to reach down Anuket's esophagus to remove the shoe, but again, their attempts failed.

Dr. Adam Biedrzycki, a large animal surgeon, was called in to perform surgery, which went smoothly.

Anuket is now back at the park where she is reportedly doing well and avoiding all shoe-shaped objects.
